MOVADO MUSEUM, rare Swiss-made table clock with battery-powered movement. Gilded brass case with pedestal that can be opened like a book. Matt black dial without indexes with golden disc at 12 o'clock (logo of the Movado Museum line) and the writing Swiss MOVADO quartz at 6 o'clock. Golden hour and minute hands. The glass that completely covers the dial is mineral. The watch from the former Italian Movado dealer is perfect as it is a real NEW OLD STOCK from the 80s / 90s with the original tag of the time and the original box.
History: The Museum Watch, designed by American designer Nathan George Horwitt in 1947 influenced by the Bauhaus movement. The face of the watch has a very simple design defined by a solitary dot at 12 o'clock, symbolizing the sun at noon. Horwitt's dial was selected for the permanent design collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York in 1960.
