GRUEN Geneve "Autowind" - automatic - rare and prestigious men's wristwatch from the 1950s with a waterproof 18k yellow gold case and a wonderful two-tone dial. Waterproof coin case with beautiful, very pronounced lugs, screw-down case back. Original crown. Original two-tone dial, perfect with yellow gold applied bar indexes and yellow gold alpha-type spheres. Self-winding mechanical movement with refined Gruen 480SS caliber in perfect working order. The watch is in truly exceptional general conditions of conservation, never polished or restored, in general conditions close to remaining stock. The watch is offered for sale with the following kit:

- new dark brown lizard strap, made in Italy and generic yellow gold laminated buckle;

- guarantee of originality issued by our shop, guarantee of correct functioning valid for 12 months from the date of sale;

- generic box from our shop;

Age: produced presumably in the 1950s;

Case: coin waterproof, in two parts entirely in very heavy 18k yellow gold (750/°°), screw-down case back. Smooth flat stepped bezel and distinctive curved and elongated elongated lugs. Unmarked original waterproof crown. The caseback has the following engravings internally: Gruen - Geneve - 18k gold hallmarks - 750/°° - cashier hallmark - Minerva head to mark Swiss-made 18k gold cases - reference and serial number. The case also has various external cashier's punches distributed on the case band and on the lugs, highlighted in the attached photographs. Case dimensions: 34 mm (excluding crown) x 41.5 (from handle to handle). The watch is in truly exceptional general conditions of conservation, practically a warehouse remnant, never polished, with original finishes and sharp and perfect edges, as can be seen from the photographs;

Dial: splendid, original champagne color, with two-tone workmanship. Applied bar indexes in yellow gold. In correspondence with the indexes, the dial has a ring band worked with thin concentric circles. Alpha-type yellow gold spheres with central seconds. Graphics printed in black, at 12 o'clock: Gruen logo and writing. At 6 o'clock: autowind - Swiss; Glass: plastic;

Mechanics: refined automatic caliber, Gruen 480SS caliber, in perfect working order;
