ROLEX OYSTER rare men's steel watches '40 with personalized dial for "HAMILTON & INCHES"

ROLEX OYSTER reference 3121 very rare men's watch early '40s, personalized on the dial for "Hamilton & Inches" one of the oldest and most prestigious Rolex dealers in the United Kingdom, founded in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 1866. Steel Oyster case, 29mm net diameter. Screw-down caseback and screw-down "Oyster patent" crown. Splendid original radium dial with fascinating patina of time, with Arabic numeral indexes and radium baton hands with small seconds at 6. Manually wound mechanical movement, Rolex caliber 710. Watch of great aesthetic impact, original in every part and in excellent general condition of conservation in relation to the age, offered for sale with the following accessories:

- generic black leather strap with generic steel buckle;

- guarantee of originality and correct functioning issued by our shop;

Year: presumably early 1940s;

Case: three-part Oyster type, with smooth bezel and screw-down caseback. The caseback features the reference 3121 and serial number 11,591 on the outside. Inside we find the following hallmarks: Oyster Watch C° - Geneva - Swiss - list of patents - casemaker's hallmark and SAR hallmark (Rolex Anonymous Society). Oyster Patent screw-down crown. Case dimensions: diameter 29mm (excluding crown) x 36mm (from lug to lug). The case is in more than good condition considering its age;

Dial: original silvery in color with evident but very pleasant patina of time. The dial is extremely rare and of undoubted collector's interest as it was customized for the dealer "Hamilton & Inches" one of the oldest Rolex dealers in existence, founded in Edinburgh (Scotland) in 1866. Arabic numeral indexes and radium baton hands (the minute hand has undergone a restoration as the radium probably crumbled in the past). Black printed graphics with railroad minute track and small seconds at 6 o'clock. At 12 o'clock: Rolex Oyster writing. At 6 o'clock: Hamilton & Inches - Swiss made;

Movement: mechanical manual winding Rolex caliber 710 with 15 jewels. The mechanics have been completely and professionally overhauled by our watchmaker, the watch runs regularly with acceptable precision;
