TAVANNES “Portuguese” type, rare men's watch from the 1940s, with 38 mm net case, nickel-plated metal case with pressure-fit steel caseback and fixed lugs. Particular stepped bezel. Original crown. Original dial in silvery color with beautiful and uniform patina of the time, gold applied indexes to Arabic numerals and splendid and particular burnished spheres, graphics printed in black with rail minuterie and small seconds at 6 o'clock. Mechanical movement with manual winding regularly hallmarked Tavannes , fully functional as completely and professionally serviced by our watchmaker. Watch in more than excellent general conditions of conservation, never restored with excellently preserved original nickel plating. The watch is offered for sale with the following kit:

- brown leather strap for fixed lugs;

- certificate of originality and certificate of correct functioning of our shop and generic box of our shop;

Period: presumably the 1940s;

Case: large diameter, in nickel-plated metal, in three bodies. Stepped bezel. Fixed lugs. Snap-in steel caseback with the following inscriptions engraved internally: stainless steel back - Swiss made - reference / serial numbers 1692 - 6143 - 3. Case dimensions: net diameter 38mm (excluding crown) x 40mm (from handle to handle). The case is in exceptional storage conditions, with perfect edges and exceptionally preserved original nickel plating;

Dial: original in silvery color with beautiful and uniform patina of the time. Applied indexes in gold with Arabic numerals and splendid and particular burnished spheres, graphics printed in black with binary minuterie. At 12 o'clock: Tavannes logo and writing. Small seconds at 6 o'clock;

Movement: splendid manual winding mechanical movement with 15 jewels, regularly hallmarked Tavannes Watch C° - Swiss made - patented and numbered. Movement entirely original and perfectly functional as it has been completely and professionally serviced by our watchmaker;
