ULYSSE NARDIN staybrite steel chronograph - 1940s - original dial - Valjoux 23 caliber

ULYSSE NARDIN rare 1940's chronograph in staybrite steel. Original silver colored dial with uniform patina of time, black printed graphics with Arabic numeral indexes and burnished steel baton spheres; the original dial is unfortunately faded, but the writing Ulysse Nardin - Locle Swiss is still legible, the faded but legible minute track is separated by a track from the tachymeter scale. Staybrite steel case, with rectangular pushers and with regular internal punches, mechanical movement with manual winding, Valjoux 23 caliber regularly punched Ulysse Nardin on the bridge, correctly functioning as a watch and as a chronograph as it has been completely and professionally serviced by our watchmaker.

Age: presumably the 40s;

Dial: original silvery color with uniform patina of time, graphics printed in black with Arabic numeral indexes and burnished steel baton spheres; the original dial is unfortunately faded, but the writing Ulysse Nardin - Locle Swiss is still legible, the faded but legible minute track is separated by a track from the tachymeter scale;

Case: in three parts, with smooth steel bezel and snap-in steel caseback and rectangular pushers. The internal caseback features the following hallmarks: antique Ulysse Nardin Locle logo - acier saybrite and serial number. Case dimensions: net diameter 33 mm (excluding crown) x 38 mm (from handle to handle). The case is in excellent general conditions of conservation, never polished or restored and proposed in the original state of conservation;

Movement: mechanical movement with automatic winding, Valjoux 23 caliber, regularly punched on the bridge, and, fully functional as a watch and as a chronograph as it has been completely and professionally serviced by our watchmaker;
